Illegal Gas Connections: Hundreds disconnected

Residents said that many houses in the area were not provided with connections when the department laid gas pipelines.

FAISALABAD: The Sui Gas Dept launched an operation against illegal connections in the city on Thursday and disconnected hundreds of connections. In Naimatabad and Jhang Road area, the officials removed hundreds of illegal connections. Residents of Jhang Road said that many houses in the area were not provided with connections when the department laid gas pipelines. They said they had complained several times, but to no avail, so they acquired the connections with the connivance of some sui gas officials. Officials said that cases would be registered against illegal connection holders and those officials who facilitated them.
