Lewis Pullman says filming Spaceballs 2 with dad Bill Pullman was a “dream come true”
"It felt like a bizarre simulation. I just couldn’t believe my luck," the Marvel actor said

Lewis Pullman is sharing how meaningful it was to star alongside his father, Bill Pullman, in the upcoming comedy sequel Spaceballs 2. In a recent interview, the actor described the experience as unforgettable, saying it felt almost unreal to finally work together on screen.
“It was a dream come true,” Lewis said of filming the movie with his dad. “We just wrapped, and every day was such a trip… It felt like a bizarre simulation. I just couldn’t believe my luck.”
The project marks the first time Lewis and Bill Pullman have appeared together in a film, despite both having long and successful acting careers. For Lewis, the opportunity carried extra emotional weight because it had been something they had hoped to do for years.
“We’ve been wanting to do that forever and we never knew whether we could get the chance or not,” he explained. “And so doing it on a movie like Spaceballs 2 was just like, ‘What simulation… what world are we in right now?’”
Spaceballs 2 serves as a sequel to Mel Brooks’ 1987 cult classic, with Brooks returning to co-write the screenplay. The film also reunites original cast members, including Bill Pullman, while introducing a new generation of characters, including Lewis, into the franchise’s irreverent sci-fi parody universe.
Lewis added that sharing such a high-profile and comedic project with his father made the experience even more special, blending professional pride with a deeply personal milestone.
The sequel has already generated strong anticipation among fans of the original film, and Lewis Pullman’s reflections highlight the unique family dynamic at the heart of one of the most talked-about legacy comedies in development.
