ISLAMABAD:

Under the auspices of the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), the NOOR-E-QALAM Calligraphy Students' Exhibition, showcasing the creative works of students who completed a six-month calligraphy course, was inaugurated on Tuesday at the National Art Gallery, Islamabad.

Farha Naz Akber, Parliamentary Secretary, National Heritage and Culture Division, formally opened the exhibition.

Addressing the gathering, Akber lauded the NOOR-E-QALAM exhibition and expressed her pleasure at being associated with such a visually captivating and spiritually uplifting display. She remarked that the students' renderings of Quranic verses and the exquisite calligraphy of the names of Allah reflect remarkable dedication, discipline, and artistic refinement.

She further voiced her hope that these emerging calligraphers would go on to represent Pakistan with distinction at both national and international platforms through their creative pursuits.

The chief guest also commended the committed efforts of the Class Coordinator, Noshaba Naz, for her role in successfully organising and managing the course and the exhibition. The NOOR-E-QALAM Calligraphy Exhibition will remain open to the public at the National Art Gallery, PNCA, from December 16 to 22.
