Influencer Mary Magdalene died after a fall in Phuket; authorities are investigating

Social media influencer Mary Magdalene has died after falling from a high-rise building in Phuket, Thailand. She was 33.
Local authorities confirmed that the influencer, whose real name was Denise Ivonne Jarvis Gongora, died on December 9 after falling from the ninth floor of the Patong Tower condominium.
Her body was found in the building’s car park area, and Thai police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. No official determination has yet been made regarding whether the fall was accidental or intentional.
Gongora, a Mexican-Canadian model and content creator, had checked into the Patong Tower for a one-night stay shortly before the incident. Police said she was alone at the time, and her family has been notified. An autopsy is being conducted as part of standard procedure.
Known online as Mary Magdalene, Gongora built a large following by documenting extreme cosmetic surgeries and body modifications. She amassed hundreds of thousands of followers across social platforms, where her candid and often controversial posts made her a prominent, and polarizing, internet figure.
In the days before her death, followers noted unusual activity on her social media accounts. Her username appeared as “@MaryMagdaleneDied” shortly before the incident, and one of her final posts included a childhood photograph alongside a quote from The Truman Show: “In case I don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night.”
Authorities have not indicated whether her online activity is connected to their investigation.
News of her death has prompted an outpouring of shock and tributes from fans online. As police continue to investigate, officials have urged the public to avoid speculation until the inquiry is complete.
