Jeff Garcia, known for voicing Sheen in 'Jimmy Neutron', has died at 50 following a series of reported health issues

Jeff Garcia, the actor best known for voicing Sheen Estevez in the Jimmy Neutron franchise, has died at the age of 50. Variety confirmed his death on Wednesday.
Garcia was taken off life support on Tuesday at a hospital in Southern California, surrounded by family and friends. According to TMZ, he had suffered a brain aneurysm earlier this year and experienced a stroke several weeks ago.
He was hospitalised in late November with pneumonia and, although discharged, continued to experience health complications. The publication reported that his lung collapsed on Tuesday.
Garcia’s breakthrough came with the 2001 film Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and its accompanying video game, where he played Sheen, the energetic and obsessive sidekick.
He reprised the role in 59 episodes of Nickelodeon’s The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, along with several television movie spinoffs.
He later led the Sheen-focused spinoff Planet Sheen, an animated sci-fi comedy that ran for 26 episodes between 2010 and 2013. Garcia’s distinctive voice also featured across other major animated projects, including the role of Pip the Mouse in the Barnyard series, which spanned a film, a video game and a television run from 2007 to 2011. He additionally voiced Rinaldo the penguin in Happy Feet and held roles in Marmaduke, Rio and Rio 2.
Beyond voice acting, Garcia performed regularly as a stand-up comedian at the Laugh Factory. His on-screen credits included the series Mr. Box Office and the independent film Holy Cash.
He was also a regular attendee at animation conventions, where fans who grew up with Jimmy Neutron frequently engaged with him about his work.
Garcia’s contribution to animated entertainment, particularly through Sheen Estevez, has been widely acknowledged by audiences who associated his performances with their childhood viewing.
