Peacock has released the intense first trailer for The Copenhagen Test, a high-stakes espionage thriller led by Simu Liu.
The series, produced by UCP, will premiere with all episodes on December 27, giving viewers a fast-paced psychological mystery heading into the new year.
The show centers on Alexander Hale, a first-generation Chinese-American intelligence analyst whose life unravels when he discovers that his brain has been hacked. According to the official logline, the mysterious breach grants unknown perpetrators access to everything he sees and hears, placing him in the crossfire between his agency and the unseen attackers tracking his every move. Forced to perform and deceive at all times, Alexander must uncover who infiltrated his mind before the truth destroys him.
The series features a strong supporting cast, including Sinclair Daniel, Brian d’Arcy James, Mark O’Brien, and Kathleen Chalfant.
Thomas Brandon serves as creator, executive producer, writer, and co-showrunner, alongside Jennifer Yale, who is also co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Additional executive producers include Simu Liu, James Wan, Michael Clear, Rob Hackett, and Mark Winemaker, with Jet Wilkinson directing and executive-producing the first two episodes.
With its blend of psychological suspense, surveillance paranoia, and high-tech espionage, The Copenhagen Test positions itself as one of Peacock’s most ambitious thrillers yet.
