RAWALPINDI:

The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) is set to host the three-day Pindi Food Fest from December 12 to 14 at Ayub National Park.

The annual festival celebrates traditional and regional cuisine, introduces contemporary flavours, and provides valuable networking and branding opportunities for SMEs, start-ups, and women entrepreneurs—particularly those working in the food sector.

RCCI President Usman Shaukat, in a brief interaction with the media, underscored the festival's key objectives: promoting local culinary heritage, supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and empowering women-led food ventures.

"More than 70 food stalls will be featured, showcasing a diverse range of flavours and cuisines. This initiative offers women entrepreneurs a vital platform to launch and expand their brands while building industry connections," he said.

He added that the festival would also provide inspiration for aspiring women entrepreneurs.

"Our aim is to create opportunities and encourage women who have yet to embark on their entrepreneurial journey," the RCCI President noted. In response to a question, he said that over 15 stalls had been allocated exclusively for women this year, particularly those running home-based food businesses.
