LAHORE:

The Punjab Home Department has urged all provincial institutions and citizens to actively participate as "Partners in Peace" to strengthen law and order across the province.

In an official advisory, the department emphasized that public participation, unity, and responsibility are vital to translating the Chief Minister's safety vision into actionable measures. The advisory reaffirmed the Punjab government's commitment to promoting peace, harmony, and prosperity, warning that no individual or organisation would be allowed to engage in violence, lawlessness, or unlawful activities.

Citizens were also reminded to report crimes, suspicious activity, or emergencies via the police helpline at 15.

Law enforcement agencies have been instructed to remain on high alert, with special attention to educational institutions, hospitals, public spaces, and religious sites.

Institutions have been directed to comply with the Home Department's security guidelines and SOPs, while regular security audits are encouraged to prevent potential incidents.

The initiative has been circulated to the IGP Punjab, administrative secretaries, divisional commissioners, CCPO Lahore, deputy commissioners, RPOs, CPOs, heads of provincial and local government bodies, educational institutions, and chambers of commerce across Punjab.
