Scrubs reboot teaser reunites original cast and introduces new interns at Sacred Heart
ABC releases first Scrubs reboot teaser as JD, Turk and Elliot return to Sacred Heart to meet a new team of interns

ABC has released the first teaser for its highly anticipated Scrubs reboot, and longtime fans are in for a nostalgic trip back to Sacred Heart Hospital.
The beloved medical comedy series, which originally aired from 2001 to 2010, is returning with its original stars including Zach Braff, Donald Faison, and Sarah Chalke. The new teaser sets the stage for a fresh chapter as new interns step into the chaotic hospital while crossing paths with the doctors who once walked the halls in their shoes.
The 30-second teaser features JD, Turk, and Elliot striding confidently through Sacred Heart to the soundtrack of “Big Dawg” by Quise.B before encountering a confused group of new interns who have no idea who the trio is. JD confidently announces, “I’m back, baby,” only to realize that fame and legacy don’t automatically carry over to the new generation. Supporting them once again is Dr. Cox, played by John C. McGinley, who appears with Carla (Judy Reyes) in a cameo that instantly reestablishes the sharp mentor dynamic fans love.
Scrubs became a hit by blending humor, heart, and emotional storytelling, chronicling the lives of doctors, nurses, and staff at a teaching hospital. The reboot appears ready to honor that legacy while evolving with a new cast of characters and updated dynamics. Fans can expect the same blend of comedy, life lessons, and heartfelt friendships that made the original a favorite.
While viewers wait for the full release, those wanting a refresher can revisit the original nine-season run to prepare for the return of Sacred Heart.
