Kevin Spacey says ‘homeless’ claims misrepresent his real situation

Kevin Spacey says a headline implying he is homeless misrepresented his situation

Kevin Spacey has pushed back against reports suggesting he is homeless, calling the coverage “misleading” and “disingenuous” after a headline from The Telegraph prompted an outpouring of concern online.

In a video shared to Instagram, the actor said that while he has faced financial challenges and no longer owns a permanent home, he never claimed to be living on the streets.

He explained that he has been moving between hotels, rentals and friends’ places due to work commitments, but remains fully housed.

Spacey said the headline distorted the tone and context of the interview, which he otherwise felt was fair.

He also noted that many people dealing with real homelessness face far greater struggles, adding that the situation should not be trivialised.

Spacey emphasised that he has been steadily working throughout the year and is focused on continuing his career despite ongoing financial pressure.
