Drivers urged to ensure pedestrians' safety

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has appealed to the citizens to avoid using mobile phones while driving, observe speed limits, prioritise safety of pedestrians and drive with care at all times.

She stated in her message on the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, she emphasised the need for responsible behaviour on the roads and strict adherence to traffic laws.

She stated that strict fines and additional restrictions had been enforced on traffic violators in the province.

She outlined that regular vehicle fitness tests were being conducted to minimise the risk of traffic accidents.
