Production details surrounding Grand Theft Auto 6 continue to surface as anticipation builds for the game’s scheduled November 19, 2026 release. According to YouTuber and insider Reece “Kiwi Talkz” Reilly, who previously cautioned fans about Rockstar’s second delay, the studio’s ambitious vision may explain why the upcoming title has required such an extended development cycle.

Reilly addressed online speculation suggesting GTA 6 would simply be an upgraded version of GTA 5. On X, he stated that the sequel "definitely isn’t GTA V 2.0," adding that the features he has heard about are so advanced that “no other developer will be able to match [them] for 15–20+ years.”

Although Reilly did not provide specifics, previously discovered Rockstar job listings and patents have offered hints about what players may expect at launch. A 2021 listing for a VFX artist referenced “large-scale destruction,” including the potential for skyscrapers collapsing and advanced weather systems.

Additional patents suggest the game may use AI-driven systems to procedurally generate building interiors, while NPC behavior could become more dynamic and influenced by environmental events.

Separately, established leaker GameRoll, known for correctly revealing the protagonists’ surnames before Rockstar confirmed them, has claimed that GTA 6 will feature over 700 accessible stores and malls where players can enter and commit robberies.

The decade-long gap since GTA 5 and Rockstar’s commitment to avoiding bugs and glitches have already contributed to multiple release delays. Still, the combination of insider comments and documented technology suggests that the studio’s broader objective may be to significantly push the boundaries of open-world design.

Rockstar has not officially addressed the claims, and fans will likely need to wait for future updates from the company. Until then, anticipation for Grand Theft Auto 6 remains exceptionally high ahead of its planned 2026 launch.
