KU announces 2026 evening programme admission schedule

Offers wide range of disciplines for degree, diploma, certificate courses; candidates can apply through online portal

The University of Karachi has announced the commencement of online admissions for evening programme for the academic session 2026. As per schedule the university is offering admissions into BS, diploma, and certificate courses. Prospective candidates can fill and submit their admission forms online and upload scanned copies of required documents through the online admissions portal until November 28, 2025.

Admissions for the BS four-year programmes are open in a wide range of disciplines, including actuarial sciences and risk management, agriculture, chemistry, applied chemistry, chemical technology, physics, applied physics, audiology and speech language pathology, biochemistry, biotechnology, botany, BBA, commerce, computer science, BSCS and BSSE (both entry test based), computational mathematics, criminology, digital media marketing, economics, economics and finance, education, English, environmental studies, financial mathematics, food science and technology, health, physical education and sports science, history, international relations, library and information science, mass communication, mathematics, medical laboratory technology, microbiology, petroleum technology, political science, psychology, public administration, public policy, Quran and Sunnah, sociology, space science and technology, special education, statistics, B.Ed Hons, Urdu, women and gender studies, and zoology.

For BS (third year) programme, admissions are available in administrative sciences (BSAS), applied mathematics, applied statistics, audiology and speech language pathology, B.Ed Hons (1.5 years weekend and 2.5 years), botany, biochemistry, BBA, chemistry, commerce, computer science, criminology, economics, economics and finance, education, English, environmental studies, history, health, physical education and sports sciences, human resource management, international relations, library and information science, mass communication, microbiology, physics, political science, psychology, public administration, public policy, Quran and Sunnah, sociology, space science and technology, supply chain management, Urdu, women and gender studies, and zoology.

The KU is also offering several one-year post magisterial diploma programmes, including assessment, counseling and psychology, as well as one-year postgraduate diplomas in computer and information sciences (PGD-CIS), contemporary Arabic, early childhood education (PGD-ECE) weekend programme, functional Arabic, forensic criminology, human resource management (PGD-HRM), industrial and organisational psychology, investigative psychology, local government (DLG), mathematical epidemiology and data analysis, public administration (PGD-PA), Quranic Arabic language, sports administration and management, statistics, supply chain management (PGD-SCM), and Urdu (for foreigners only).

In addition, the university is offering one-year and six-month certificate courses in Aaifi shariah standard, Arabic, human behaviour, Islamic banking, library and information science (advance certificate course), mass communication, microbiology, petroleum technology, prison administration (six months certificate course), social work, Tafsir-ul-Quran, Urdu (six-month certificate course of Daftari Urdu), Urdu (one-year professional certificate course of Tadress-e-Urdu), Urdu (one-year certificate course for foreigners only), and women and gender studies (six-month certificate course).

Interested candidates have been advised to carefully follow the guidelines provided in the prospectus regarding the admission policy, eligibility criteria, number of available seats, fee structure, and other relevant information.
