PepsiCo reveals new 'NKD' versions of Doritos and Cheetos
PepsiCo is updating its Doritos and Cheetos lineup with a new twist for fans

PepsiCo is introducing a new line of Doritos and Cheetos snacks that removes artificial dyes and flavors while keeping the bold tastes fans love.
The new products, called Simply NKD, include Doritos Nacho Cheese and Cool Ranch flavors, as well as Cheetos Puffs and Flamin’ Hot varieties.
“No color, no artificial flavors, same intensity, that’s Simply NKD,” PepsiCo Chief Marketing Officer Hernán Tantardini said.
“We are reinventing our iconic brands to deliver the flavors people know and enjoy, now without any artificial colors or flavors.”
Though marketed as “colorless,” images released by the company show the snacks in a light yellow hue, resembling classic corn chips.
The launch comes amid growing public attention on synthetic food dyes, with some parents and researchers raising concerns about potential health impacts on children.
The FDA continues to monitor the issue but has not established a clear link.
Simply NKD snacks are available for pre-order now and will arrive in stores on Dec. 1.
“If we can reinvent Doritos and Cheetos, imagine what’s next,” the company added.
