Gordon Ramsay refuses to cater to Ozempic and Mounjaro users in fiery rant
Gordon Ramsay delivers an obscenity-filled rant, refusing to adjust menus for diners on weight-loss injections

Gordon Ramsay has once again made headlines, this time with an explosive statement about weight-loss injections like Ozempic and Mounjaro. In an interview with The Sunday Times, the fiery chef refused to tailor his restaurant menus to accommodate diners using the popular drugs, which have been increasingly used for weight loss alongside their original Type 2 diabetes treatment purposes.
Ramsay did not mince words, stating, “There’s no way that we’re coming in with an Ozempic tasting menu to make you feel like less of a fat f---.” He emphasised that diners using these injections should take responsibility for their eating habits rather than expecting restaurants to adjust for them. He also dismissed similar approaches by other chefs, including Heston Blumenthal, who recently introduced a “mindful” dining experience at his Fat Duck restaurant with smaller portion sizes.
The chef also took aim at influencer culture in restaurants, criticising patrons who constantly take photos of their meals. Ramsay pointed out that while social media can be beneficial for branding, it often ruins the experience for others due to the intrusive nature of flash photography. “Those type of diners in America have the worst dining etiquette,” he said.
Despite his sharp words, Ramsay remains focused on expanding his culinary empire. He is set to open a British-themed gastropub called The Carnaby at the Downtown Disney District in Anaheim, California. The venue promises to showcase iconic British dishes with a swinging 60s London flair, continuing his reputation for high-quality, bold dining experiences.
Ramsay’s comments underscore his no-nonsense approach to the restaurant industry. His refusal to cater to weight-loss injections and his disdain for disruptive dining behaviours show a chef unafraid to speak his mind, staying true to the blunt, uncompromising personality that has made him a household name worldwide. Fans and critics alike have reacted strongly to his remarks, sparking debates about etiquette, health trends, and the influence of social media on modern dining.
