Dengue Epidemic: Indonesian team to provide assistance

An Indonesian team is scheduled to reach Pakistan early next week for relief and assistance activities to address the dengue epidemic plaguing the country.
Coordinating Minister for People’s Welfare and Disaster Management Agung Laksono received Ambassador of Pakistan to Indonesia Sanaullah for a coordination meeting with members of the team, apprising them of their assignment in Pakistan.
The meeting was also attended by senior officials of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Coordination, Indonesia. Director Vector Borne Diseases Control Environmental Health Indonesia Dr Rita Kusriastuti said her country would be sending medical equipment, fumigation machines, blood analysers and lab material to Pakistan.
