Militancy: Tribal journalist hurt in bomb attack

The roadside bomb was detonated by militants when Afridi passed by while going home from his Hujra (Guest House).

KHYBER AGENCY: A prominent tribal journalist was critically wounded in a bomb attack in the Landikotal subdivision of the Khyber Agency on Wednesday.

Khalil Afridi, former president of the Tribal Union of Journalists, Khyber Agency chapter, was targeted by suspected Taliban militants in the Sultan Khel area of Landikotal, local sources said. The roadside bomb was detonated by militants when Afridi passed by while going home from his Hujra (Guest House).  Political Tehsildar Abdul Nabi said that it was a low intensity bomb which was used to target the journalist only.
