Chung police arrest five-member burglary gang, including serving, former constables
Suspects were found in possession of gold, cash, and other valuables worth millions

Chung police have arrested a five-member gang, consisting of both serving and recently dismissed constables involved in multiple burglary cases, officials have confirmed.
During interrogation, the suspects disclosed details of several high-value thefts. The gang included Constable Ali Haider, posted with the ARF, and Rahat Ali, a recently dismissed police officer. Other arrested members were identified as Ali, Faisal, and Saleem, said Station House Officer (SHO) Chowhang Inspector Muhammad Raza.
According to Lahore Superintendent of Police (SP) Rana Hussain Tahir, the suspects were found in possession of gold, cash, and other valuables worth millions of rupees. CCTV and other footage captured them committing the burglaries.
Lahore Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Operations Muhammad Faisal Kamran had assigned SP Rana Hussain Tahir the special task of apprehending the active gang. SP Rana Hussain Tahir, along with SHO Chowhang Inspector Muhammad Raza, formed a dedicated police team.
The gang was captured with the help of modern technology and surveillance footage. Investigations into the suspects are ongoing.

DIG Operations Lahore announced that SP Rana Hussain Tahir and SHO Chowhang Inspector Muhammad Raza will be awarded commendation certificates for their role in the arrest.
Operations against criminal elements will continue, the DIG said.
