Police crack down on unregistered vehicles on roads
Cars, bikes without number plates impounded for verification

The Hyderabad police have launched a city-wide crackdown on vehicles without number plates and registration documents, taking over 150 vehicles into custody for verification and seizing 15 under criminal procedure. Four individuals have also been detained during the operation.
According to the Hyderabad police spokesperson, the crackdown was initiated under special directives from Inspector General of Sindh Police Ghulam Nabi Memon and DIG Hyderabad Range Tariq Razzaq Dharejo. The operation is being supervised by SSP Hyderabad Adeel Hussain Chandio.
The ongoing campaign targets vehicles violating the Motor Vehicle Ordinance and related laws. FIRs are being registered against offenders, and vehicles found in violation are being impounded. Police checkpoints have been set up across various locations in the district for rigorous inspection.
During the operation, hundreds of vehicles were stopped and examined for proper documentation and number plates. As a result, 172 vehicles were taken into custody for verification, 15 were impounded under Section 550 of the Criminal Procedure Code, and six FIRs were registered. Four suspects were arrested for legal violations.
SSP Adeel Hussain Chandio stated that vehicles without number plates or registration not only breach traffic laws but are often used in criminal activities. He affirmed that the crackdown will continue indiscriminately to ensure public safety and legal compliance.
