Robber killed in CCD shootout
Officials said the suspects opened fire on the police team

A man suspected of being involved in house robberies in Madina Town and Saddar was killed in an exchange of fire with the Makoana Crime Control Department (CCD) personnel.
The body was taken into custody and shifted to a hospital in Nankana.
According to reports, Makoana CCD Sub-Inspector Farooq Nazir received a tip that the suspect wanted for house robberies was traveling by car with his accomplices in the Jaranwala area.
When a CCD team pursued the suspects, they attempted to flee. The police surrounded them near Nankana Sahib.
Officials said the suspects opened fire on the police team.
In retaliatory fire, the suspect was killed, while his accomplices managed to escape.
They also took away the body with them. Nankana police found the body later and shifted it to the hospital for legal formalities and investigation.
In another incident, police claimed on Sunday to have arrested a suspected criminal after an encounter in the Alipur city area.
