Jeay Sindh Mahaz to block highway in Hyderabad
Call given in protest against alleged enforced disappearances

The movement of traffic on Karachi-Hyderabad M9 Motorway and the National Highway is set to witness another blockade as Hyderabad bypass road, which connects the two highways, is scheduled to host another sit-in protest in three days.
The call has been given by Jeay Sindh Mahaz in protest against alleged enforced disappearances and to condemn FIRs on the nationalist leaders.
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday declared the arrest of two of the missing persons on the JSM's list including Ghani Aman Chandio and Sarmad Meerani. They have been accused for being a part of the nationalist outfits allegedly involved in terrorism incidents.
Responding to a question of The Express Tribune, JSM's Chairman Riaz Ali Chandio declared that his party will go ahead with the sit-in despite production of Chandio and Meerani before a court by the CTD. "People of Sindh are feeling themselves insecure in their own land," said Chandio in a statement. "Law, democracy and justice have ceased to exist in Sindh."
He argued that the activists raising voice for the rights of the province's people are subjugated by various means including the enforced disappearance. Chandio said on the other hand corruption, dacoits of riverine areas, drug peddlers and illegal immigrants have been given a freehand in the province. He believed that the rule of PPP over Sindh is going to complete two decades but the land's people have only suffered from that party's bad governance and corruption.
