Fans link Kayla Nicole’s ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough’ Halloween post to ex Travis Kelce
Kayla Nicole’s Halloween post featured Toni Braxton’s “He Wasn’t Man Enough,” sparking speculation about Travis Kelce

Model and sports journalist Kayla Nicole drew attention with her Halloween costume this year, dressing as R&B icon Toni Braxton and using one of the singer’s best-known hits, “He Wasn’t Man Enough,” in a social media post that some fans interpreted as a subtle message to her ex-boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce.
Nicole shared the post on Instagram on Friday, October 31, recreating scenes from Braxton’s 2000 music video. “She’s an icon. She’s a legend,” Nicole wrote in the caption, referring to Braxton.
The post quickly gained traction, with followers praising her look and noting the pointed choice of song.
Braxton’s track, from her album The Heat, features lyrics such as “Do you know I dumped your husband, girlfriend?” and “He wasn’t man enough for me.”
While Nicole made no direct mention of Kelce, social media users speculated that the post referenced the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who is now engaged to singer Taylor Swift.
Nicole and Kelce dated on and off for about five years beginning in 2017, according to People. Since their split, Nicole has not publicly commented on Kelce’s relationship or engagement.
During a New York Fashion Week event in September, she declined to respond to a question from the Daily Mail about the engagement.
In an earlier interview with People, Nicole spoke about dealing with online criticism, saying, “The opinions of others are only as big as you make them. So if I don’t allow it to affect me, it simply won’t.”
Last year, Nicole also drew attention for her Halloween costume when she dressed as singer Ciara, recreating the “Ride” music video look, complete with fur coat and swimsuit.
