FX has officially renewed its hit comedy series Adults for a second season, set to premiere in 2026.

The ensemble show first debuted in May 2025 and quickly gained attention for its witty, relatable portrayal of modern twenty-something life.

Created by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, Adults stars Malik Elassal, Lucy Freyer, Jack Innanen, Amita Rao, and Owen Thiele. The comedy follows five friends—Samir, Billie, Paul Baker, Issa, and Anton—navigating adulthood while living together in Samir’s childhood home in New York City. The show humorously explores the struggles, insecurities, and absurdities of growing up when no one feels truly “grown.”

Kate Lambert, executive vice president of development for FX Entertainment, praised the creative duo behind the show, saying, “Ben and Rebecca are incredibly talented writers who have expertly and hilariously captured the experience of being a young adult in today’s world. The cast is exceptional in bringing that vision to life.”

The cast of Adults also celebrated the renewal in a special video announcement released by FX.

In addition to writing and creating the series, Kronengold and Shaw serve as executive producers alongside Nick Kroll, Sarah Naftalis, Jonathan Krisel, and Rob Rosell. FX Productions produces the series.

Before launching Adults, Kronengold and Shaw made history as the youngest writers on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and later published their humor collection Naked in the Rideshare: Stories of Gross Miscalculations in 2023.

Adults Season 2 will return to FX in 2026, continuing its sharp, comedic take on growing up in the modern world.
