Visually-impaired man passes CSS, joins Foreign Service

The chief minister met with Eril Hussain to congratulate the young officer over his remarkable achievement

KARACHI:

Eril Hussain, a 27-year-old visually impaired candidate, has passed the 2024 Central Superior Services (CSS) examination and has been inducted into Pakistan's prestigious Foreign Service. The chief minister met with Eril Hussain at his office, where he congratulated the young officer over his remarkable achievement.

Eril Hussain, who secured his first preference — the Foreign Service — despite his disability, shared his inspiring educational journey during the meeting. He revealed that he initially received his education from a special school for children with disabilities before completing his studies at St Patrick's High School and later at the University of Karachi.

CM Shah stressed that Hussain's success stands as a testament to the power of determination and hard work, regardless of physical limitations. "Your achievement is a source of pride for all of us," he said, offering his warm embrace to the young officer.
