Kim Kardashian partners with Bridgerton creator Chris Van Dusen to develop a new show, Calabasas.

According to Deadline, Kardashian will serve as an executive producer on the upcoming series, while Van Dusen takes the lead as creator and showrunner. The series is based on Via Bleidner’s 2021 book If You Lived Here You’d Be Famous by Now, which explores the lives of teenagers navigating fame, identity, and privilege in Los Angeles’s elite suburb of Calabasas.

The project brings together a powerhouse team of producers including Emma Roberts, Karah Preiss, Matt Matruski, and Alexandra Milchan, alongside Kardashian and Van Dusen.

Calabasas will reportedly blend drama and satire, offering a glossy yet grounded look at the modern world of social status and influence — themes that align perfectly with Kardashian’s real-life experience in celebrity culture.

While fans initially speculated that Kardashian might appear in Bridgerton, the reality star is instead focusing on expanding her creative portfolio behind the camera. This new role follows her acting debut in American Horror Story: Delicate, showcasing her growing influence in Hollywood beyond reality TV.

Though production details remain scarce, industry insiders describe Calabasas as a “sharp and stylish” drama that could become one of the most talked-about projects of 2026 — especially with Kim Kardashian and the Bridgerton creator at the helm.
