Key security meeting today

PESHAWAR:

The K-P Assembly's security committee will meet today (Wednesday) to deliberate on issues pertaining to law and order, counterterrorism operations and security challenges across the province.

The crucial meeting is expected to be attended by Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and members from both the treasury and opposition benches. The meeting, which is scheduled to be held at 12 pm under the chairmanship of Speaker Babar Saleem Swati, will also formulate terms of reference (TORs) for briefings to be given by security institutions.

All members have been notified, and senior officials from the law enforcement and security agencies will be invited to provide detailed briefings.
