Rs14b Sargodha drainage overhaul plan reviewed

Project set to begin November 24

Work on a Rs14 billion sewerage system project is set to begin on November 24, aimed at overhauling Sargodha city's outdated drainage infrastructure.

Divisional Commissioner Jehanzeb Awan was briefed on the project by a team of experts from the National Engineering Service of Pakistan during a meeting on Monday. The project will be completed in two phases over 24 months.

The sewerage system project is divided into two Zone A, estimated at Rs7.13 billion, and Zone B, costing Rs6.91 billion. Both parts of the project have received formal approval.
