Advanced materials to be in focus at ISAM-2025
Global experts to gather for event focused on industrial modernisation

The Pakistan Advanced Materials Forum (PAMF) has announced that the 19th International Symposium on Advanced Materials (ISAM-2025) will be held from October 27 to 31, 2025, at the National Centre for Physics (NCP), Islamabad. According to an official statement, since its inception in 1989, ISAM has evolved into one of the region's most respected scientific gatherings, promoting collaboration, innovation, and advancement in materials science and engineering. The 2025 edition will continue this legacy, focusing on how advanced materials can accelerate Pakistan's transition from a resource-based economy to one driven by knowledge, innovation, and high technology.
The five-day symposium will bring together leading scientists, engineers, researchers, and industry professionals from across the globe to exchange ideas and showcase cutting-edge developments in materials engineering, a discipline vital to the growth of sectors such as aerospace, clean energy, defence, electronics, and advanced manufacturing.
Aligned with Pakistan's national agenda for industrial modernisation and technological self-reliance, ISAM-2025 will feature over 20 international speakers.
"The field of materials science holds the key to future industrial competitiveness," said a PAMF spokesperson. "From clean energy to defence technologies, every innovation begins with better materials. ISAM serves as a bridge between academia, research, and industry, creating partnerships that will shape Pakistan's scientific and economic future."
