KU conducts entry test for 2026 admissions
7,536 candidates appear for test in various disciplines; results will be announced through official website on Oct 28

The University of Karachi conducted its entry test for admission to morning and evening programmes for the 2026 academic year. For this purpose, the university had set up 22 examination centres in various departments.
According to the university officials, 7,769 applications were received for 1,347 seats across 20 departments. Of these, 7,536 candidates appeared for the test on Saturday. Results will be announced through the university’s official website and candidate portals by October 28.
The test covered admissions for programmes including Doctor of Pharmacy (Morning and Evening), Doctor of Physical Therapy, BS in Computer Science (BSCS, BSSE, AI), Business Administration (BBA), Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Aviation Technology, Applied Physics, Environmental Studies, Food Science and Technology, International Relations, Mass Communication, Commerce, Public Administration and B.Ed. (H), among others.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi visited the examination centres. He was accompanied by senior officials, including Registrar Professor Dr Imran Ahmad Siddiqui and members of the Karachi University Assessment and Testing Service (KUATS). He expressed satisfaction with the arrangements.
Dr Iraqi was informed that, in order to facilitate students and parents, university buses were made available from all entry points to the examination centres. Help desks were also set up across the campus, while security staff, medical teams and ambulance were deployed at key locations.
He praised faculty members, administrative staff and security officials for ensuring the smooth conduct of the test.
