Islamabad Traffic Police announce diversions for Margalla Road construction

Citizens can contact Pukaar 15, 1915 for traffic updates, emergency help

The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced a traffic diversion plan due to ongoing construction work at Shaheen Chowk on Margalla Road, urging commuters to use alternate routes to avoid congestion.

Until the construction is completed, commuters are advised to use the following alternate routes:

  • From E-11: Use DCI Road turn, then take the F-10 Service Road leading to Jinnah Avenue.

  • From Ninth Avenue to Margalla Road: Turn right from F-9 Park Gate No. 5 and use F-8 Park Road.

  • From Margalla Road to F-10: Turn left from Faisal Chowk to reach Jinnah Avenue,
    or use PN Zafar Chowk, F-8 Ali Medical Centre Park Road, and then proceed to Jinnah Avenue or Ninth Avenue.

The ITP said its personnel are deployed across the city to maintain smooth traffic flow during the construction period.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused due to diversions,” an ITP spokesperson said, adding that citizens can contact Pukaar 15 or 1915 for traffic updates and assistance in case of emergencies.
