Govt vows to ease Chinese investors' challenges

ISLAMABAD:

Ambassador of Pakistan to China, along with the newly elected presidents of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), met Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar Khan in Islamabad on Wednesday.

According to an official statement, the meeting discussed challenges faced by the industrial sector, issues concerning Chinese investors, SME promotion, and the roadmap for future industrial growth.

Akhtar said that, under the direction of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the government is committed to reviving industrial growth and ensuring ease of doing business. He noted that the new industrial policy has been developed to facilitate industries and ensure the long-term sustainability of the manufacturing sector.
