Writ filed in PHC against privatisation of 24 hospitals
.

A writ petition has been filed in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) against the privatization of 24 government hospitals across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, seeking to halt the government's plan for outsourcing or privatizing these health facilities.
The petition names the Chief Secretary, Secretary Health, Director General Health, K-P Health Foundation, and the medical superintendents of the concerned hospitals as respondents. It argues that the provincial government is moving to hand over 24 Category-D and Category-C hospitals in various districts to private contractors, a move the petitioners say will effectively close the doors of public hospitals to the poor.
