Punjab's 1st Mobile Police Station & Licensing Unit inaugurated

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has inaugurated Punjab's first Mobile Police Station and Licensing Unit project designed to provide essential policing and licensing services directly to the public, particularly in remote areas.
The mobile units will offer a wide range of services, including FIR registration, issuance and renewal of learner, regular and international driving licences along with women-specific licensing services.
Additionally, the units will extend support to girls' education centres and working women for ensuring improved access to essential services.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inspected a mobile police station and handed over its keys to relevant officers.
She directed the deputed staff to maintain a compassionate and public-friendly attitude while dealing with the citizens.
She was informed that 33 mobile police stations and licensing units would be deployed in various districts to enhance outreach and service delivery.
The chief minister was also informed about the launch of seven 'Pink Mobile Police Stations' designed for and staffed by women to ensure a comfortable and secure environment.
Officials said the government would issue a schedule for the deployment of the mobile units in various areas.
The CM emphasised the importance of public trust and service accessibility, asserting that the project would mark a major step toward modern, inclusive and responsive policing in Punjab.
