Woman kills husband, children, commits suicide
Accused cites husband's secret second marriage as reason for familicide

In an incident of filicide and mariticide, a woman took the lives of her husband and four children before committing suicide. Meanwhile, tribal clashes claimed over a dozen lives in Sukkur and Larkana on Tuesday.
A woman in Khairpur, Aqsa, allegedly killed her four children and husband before taking her own life, incensed by her husband's secret second marriage. The bodies of Naveed Arain, son of Chamber of Commerce President Chaudhry Basheer Arain, along with the bodies of Ahmed Ali, Ali Sher, Moosa and Musawira, aged eight years and below, were found from their residence in the limits of A-Section police station. The bodies were later shifted to the Civil Hospital.
SSP Hassan Niazi stated that Aqsa added sedatives to food that she served to her husband and children, then gunned all of them down while they were unconscious. She later recorded an audio message to narrate the rationale of the homicides, before committing suicide. In the audio, Aqsa claimed that her husband had secretly married another woman, to her utter consternation.

DSP Abdul Soomro later negotiated with the protesters and assured them of the culprits' arrest, after which they dispersed.
Separately, in continuity of Monday's killings in the Rustam area of Shikarpur, three more men were gunned down in two attacks, due to an ongoing vendetta between the Mahars and Jatois.
