According to the Health Department, preliminary reports from the media and data obtained from the Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response System (IDSRS) suggest a possible link between the deaths and dengue infection, prompting a detailed inquiry.
Health Secretary Shahidullah Khan said that in the past, deaths have occurred due to illnesses showing symptoms similar to dengue and COVID-19, making it essential to scientifically verify the causes in these latest cases to ensure accuracy and transparency.
