Cinna addresses TwitchCon rumors after Emiru assault incident
Cinna addressed her TwitchCon 2025 appearance amid growing safety concerns at the event

Following the alleged assault of fellow streamer Emiru at TwitchCon 2025, creator Brittany Lynn Watts, better known as Cinna, has clarified the circumstances surrounding her own participation at the event.
In a clip shared online, Cinna said she canceled her scheduled meet-and-greet because she “didn’t want to stay in the same place for too long,” citing growing safety concerns at the venue. She explained that her contract included both a performance and a meet-and-greet, but her team decided to withdraw from both for security reasons.

Addressing speculation that she was forced to appear, Cinna clarified that Twitch “didn’t attempt to force” her to perform, though she maintained that the platform had “dropped the ball” on ensuring adequate safety.
So seeing some misunderstanding with the twitch clip of emis show- my team and my contract specifically wanted me to do a show and meet and greet. When I cancelled, we gave a reason due to not wanting to be in one spot for more than an hour at a time due to security and safety

Concerns. We pulled the meet and greet and my team and I decided to pull out of the show for the exact same reason because of our contract. Twitch didn’t attempt to force me to do the show (however don’t take this as me saying I don’t STILL stand on what I said about safety with

you will see me at twitch con and due to me wanting to help support my friend I will now be attending the show. Wanted to clear this up bc I think there’s misunderstanding and don’t want anyone to think I’m being forced
Her statement came following a viral incident in which Emiru was allegedly assaulted by a male attendee during her meet-and-greet.
The episode reignited criticism of TwitchCon’s on-site safety protocols and the broader issue of harassment at fan conventions.
Reacting to the incident, Cinna called it “disgusting” and “completely preventable,” adding that it was shocking the man “wasn’t arrested immediately.”
also needless to say, please hold that disgusting man and any security that let him walk through accountable.

Disgusting and what appeared to be completely preventable.
He should have been arrested immediately and it blows my fucking mind that he wasn’t.
As conversations about streamer safety continue, creators and fans are urging Twitch to strengthen protective measures for future conventions.
