A leaked rehearsal clip of Katseye’s Pinky Up choreography has triggered renewed discussion among fans, with some questioning whether Manon Bannerman’s removal from group performances was planned for her hiatus announcement.

The video, which circulated on social media before being widely discussed online, shows members rehearsing choreography for Pinky Up without Bannerman present. This comes after HYBE confirmed earlier in 2026 that she would be taking a temporary break from group activities.

HYBE stated at the time, “After open and thoughtful conversations together, we are sharing that Manon will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and wellbeing. We fully support this decision.” The company also confirmed that Katseye would continue scheduled activities as a five-member group.

Fans reacting to the rehearsal footage have raised questions about the timeline of events, with some suggesting that the choreography formation and member positioning in the clip indicate it was filmed before the public announcement of Bannerman’s hiatus.

Others have pointed to inconsistencies between promotional materials and live performance staging as part of the ongoing discussion.

Bannerman herself addressed her status earlier in April through a Weverse post, writing, “Hi friends. I want you to hear this from me. I’m healthy, I’m okay, and I’m taking care of myself.” She also said, “Sometimes things unfold in ways we don’t fully control, but I’m trusting the bigger picture.”

In a separate update, she confirmed ongoing discussions with HYBE, stating, “HxG and I are having positive conversations, and I feel supported. I’m happy, and I’m healthy. I'll share more soon.”
