Twitch announced via its official X account that an individual responsible for disrupting a creator meet-and-greet at TwitchCon 2025 has been removed from the premises and banned indefinitely from the platform.

In line with existing TwitchCon…
The action follows a widely circulated video showing streamer Emiru being assaulted by a male attendee during her meet-and-greet session at TwitchCon 2025.
In the footage, the individual can be seen approaching Emiru, grabbing her without consent, and leaning in toward her before security intervened.
Twitch’s statement did not name the individual or provide details about potential charges or law-enforcement involvement.
The platform reaffirmed its “zero tolerance for harassment” policy and noted that banned users are barred from all future Twitch events and from using the platform under new accounts.
The incident has reignited debate about safety protocols at live creator events.
Many in the streaming community cited the encounter as a troubling example of how quickly fan interactions can escalate, and questioned whether existing convention security measures are sufficient.
