The Punjab Wildlife Department launched a major crackdown against illegal falcon hunters, arresting four suspects during a joint operation along the Indus River near Layyah.

Officials also seized hunting equipment, pigeons, and traps used in the poaching activity.

According to details, the District Raid Squads of Layyah and Dera Ghazi Khan conducted a coordinated combing operation under the supervision of Assistant Chief Wildlife Ranger Layyah Rao Kashif Hameed and Assistant Chief Wildlife Ranger Dera Ghazi Khan Madam Sudrata Al-Muntaha. The teams apprehended the suspects red-handed while they were attempting to capture falcons - a species protected under provincial law.
