MURREE:

Malika Kohsar in Murree continues to be devastated by landsliding as recent heavy rains wreak havoc on residential areas.

Scores of families in Kausar Colony, Jhika Gali have been affected as their houses were completely destroyed by landsliding. The mosque and cemetery of the community as well as the Jhika Gali Dhak Road have also been affected. The district administration has provided affected families with temporary accommodation in a private hotel in Jhika Gali.

The affected families have become forced to survive in a state of uncertainty. The affected families have demanded that the government should provide them financial assistance and arrange permanent housing for them.

Meanwhile Maryam Nawaz visited the nearby Mall Road to inspect ongoing remodeling work from within her vehicle. The victims of landsliding noted that both Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz are residing in their house at Murree Kashmir Point only a little further way as they expressed their hope to meet with them.
