RAWALPINDI:

Heads of primary, middle, high, and higher secondary schools—including headmasters, headmistresses, and principals—have been directed to undertake teaching duties alongside their administrative responsibilities, following new orders issued by the Attock District Education Officer (DEO).

According to an official notification, school heads are now required to actively participate in classroom instruction in addition to managing administrative affairs. The directive makes it mandatory for each head teacher to deliver at least 18 periods per week. Under the revised arrangement, they will be required to teach three periods daily while continuing to discharge their administrative duties.

These teaching periods must be formally incorporated into the school timetable, and a compliance report has been sought within one week.
