Witnesses testify in TikToker murder case
Accused remains in Adiala Jail on judicial remand

A local court on Wednesday recorded the statements of two prosecution witnesses, Dr Harpal Kumar and Dr Amna, in the TikToker Sana Yousaf murder case.
The Additional District and Sessions Judge directed the defence counsel to conduct cross-examination of the witnesses at the next hearing.
To date, statements from three witnesses have been recorded. Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka heard the case. The accused, Umar Hayat, was brought before the court from Adiala Jail under tight security.
During the proceedings, the prosecution witnesses, Dr Harpal Kumar and Dr Amna, gave their statements. Dr Harpal Kumar had examined the body of the deceased, while Dr Amna carried out the post-mortem examination.
State prosecutor Raja Naveed Hussain informed the court that both witnesses were medical professionals with demanding schedules and requested that the defence be directed to complete cross-examination on the same day. He further alleged that the defence was deliberately prolonging the case by avoiding cross-examination. Naveed Hussain urged the court to ensure that the defence completes the process at the next hearing.
The court subsequently instructed the defence counsel to cross-examine the prosecution witnesses at the upcoming hearing and adjourned the proceedings until October 18.
According to the prosecution, more than thirty witnesses are expected to testify in the case.
