McDonald's Pakistan has officially signed an agreement with Legends Arena to bring the Asia Pacific Padel Tour (APPT) Padel Grand Slam 2025 to Karachi, the first-ever international padel tournament in Pakistan; its significance elevated by the backing of world squash legend Jahangir Khan.
Speaking of McDonald's Padel Karachi Grand Slam at the signing ceremony, six-time world squash champion Jahangir Khan, who's also Partner at Legends Arena, said: "Pakistan has produced world-class athletes, and I believe padel can be the next great chapter in that journey," adding that the difference in skill levels between local players and the international circuit was not very wide.
"With proper support and opportunities, I am confident we can see champions emerge from Pakistan. Just as I was fortunate to make my mark in squash, I dream that tomorrow we will see a Pakistani become a legend in padel as well," the iconic Jahangir Khan said.
With the skills gap narrowing and popularity rising, the tournament is a showcase of a growing number of talented Pakistani padel players taking on international athletes on home soil.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Jamil Mughal, Managing Director, McDonald's Pakistan, said: "McDonald's Pakistan is proud to join hands with Legends Arena in bringing Pakistan its first international padel tournament."
The event was attended by senior officials from McDonald's Pakistan and Legends Arena.

This initiative reinforces McDonald's Pakistan's commitment to promote an active lifestyle, nurturing the sports culture from premier events to grassroots initiatives.
