A racing driver and former friend of Mick Schumacher has been accused of raping one of Michael Schumacher’s nurses at the Formula 1 legend’s Lake Geneva home, according to Swiss prosecutors cited by 24heures. The alleged assault took place in November 2019 at Schumacher’s residence in Gland, Switzerland, during a cocktail party attended by staff and guests.

Authorities claim the driver, who was staying at the property at the time, attacked the nurse — a live-in caregiver for Schumacher — after she became unconscious from heavy drinking. Prosecutors allege the man helped carry the woman to her room alongside a physiotherapist before returning later to sexually assault her twice while she was unconscious.

Court documents reportedly reveal the defendant claimed he and the nurse had kissed previously in a Geneva nightclub, but the woman denies any prior relationship. Two other medical staff present that night stated they did not witness or hear anything unusual. The nurse filed a criminal complaint in January 2022, following her dismissal from the Schumacher household.

The case is now heading to trial this week in Switzerland. No member of the Schumacher family has been implicated in the allegations.

Michael Schumacher, now 56, has required full-time medical care since suffering severe brain injuries in a 2013 skiing accident in the French Alps. His wife, Corinna Schumacher, continues to oversee his treatment and maintain strict privacy about his health condition.

A recent update from L’Équipe journalist Stéfan L’Hermitt suggested “good signs” in Schumacher’s recovery, though his exact condition remains unknown. The family’s publicist has not commented on the ongoing legal proceedings.
