Fortnite leak suggests seven new modes in development after recent shutdowns
Fortnite leak reveals seven new modes in development following closure of Ballistic and other playlists

A recent leak has suggested that Fortnite may introduce seven new game modes, despite the recent confirmation that several existing experiences will be discontinued.
On March 24, Epic Games announced that Ballistic, Rocket Racing, and Festival Battle Stage would be shut down. Ballistic and Festival Battle Stage ceased operations on April 6, while Rocket Racing is expected to remain available until October.
According to a post shared on X by known leaker Loolo, the developer is currently working on seven new modes. While official titles have not been confirmed, codenames and brief descriptions were included in the leak.
Among the reported additions is WickedSmoke, described as a “Social-First” experience similar to Delulu, and UnableRoman, which is said to follow a traditional Team Deathmatch format.
Two Lego-themed modes were also mentioned. Rivalry reportedly introduces pilotable mechs, while CurioBox is described as a social role-playing experience comparable to Brick Life.
The leak also references a new Reload mode featuring a smaller battle royale format, similar in structure to Call of Duty’s Resurgence mode, alongside a new map identified by the codename MatchMist. Additional projects, Bulldog and Husky, are believed to be connected to a previously rumoured Disney collaboration.
One of the most notable mentions is BabyCorgi, which Loolo described as “likely related to Ballistic.” With Ballistic recently discontinued, this mode may serve as a successor to the tactical FPS experience.
While Ballistic did not achieve widespread popularity, it maintained a dedicated player base. Content creator Typical Gamer previously offered to acquire and continue supporting the mode.
