Textbook transport contract up for grabs

RAWALPINDI:

The Programme Monitoring and Implementation Unit (PMIU) of the Punjab School Education Department has invited tenders for the transportation of 29.3 million textbooks for Classes 1 to 10, to be distributed to students in all public sector schools across the province ahead of the new academic year commencing on April 1, 2026.

The textbooks, currently stored at the department's central warehouse in Lahore, will be transported to 132 tehsil-level education warehouses throughout the province. The contract auction is scheduled for October 24, and will cover transportation as well as separate loading and unloading costs.

Only transport contractors with a minimum fleet of 20 trucks will be eligible to participate.
