Millie Bobby Brown and Rachel Brosnahan are officially joining forces for Prism, a supernatural thriller in development at Netflix. The project, revealed on 13 October 2025, has already generated excitement across the industry thanks to its high-profile creative team and ambitious concept.
Prism will star Millie Bobby Brown as Cassie, a woman with the ability to communicate with apparitions. As ghosts mysteriously begin appearing across the world, Cassie must uncover the cause before time runs out. The story promises a mix of mystery, horror and science fiction, with emotional undertones that mirror the intensity of Stranger Things.
Rachel Brosnahan will executive produce the series alongside the Russo brothers’ production company AGBO, marking her third collaboration with the streamer. Etan Frankel, best known for Shameless and Joe vs Carole, is attached as showrunner, with Netflix’s long-standing partners at Assemble Media also involved. The series is based on the short story Prism, originally featured in Assemble Artifacts magazine and written by Nick Shafir, who will serve as co-producer.
For Brown, Prism represents another major chapter in her evolving partnership with Netflix. She rose to fame as Eleven in Stranger Things, which is set to conclude with its fifth and final season in late 2025. She also fronted the successful Enola Holmes films and will star in The Electric State, another AGBO collaboration that became one of Netflix’s most-watched films earlier this year.
Brosnahan, meanwhile, continues to balance a thriving film and television career. After winning acclaim for The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, she recently portrayed Lois Lane in James Gunn’s Superman and is now working on Presumed Innocent for Apple TV+.
The news of Prism has fuelled speculation that it could become Netflix’s next flagship supernatural series following the end of Stranger Things. With Brown’s proven streaming power, Brosnahan’s creative influence and AGBO’s cinematic expertise, Prism already looks poised to draw major attention once it moves beyond development.
