Elliot Page has reunited with director Christopher Nolan for The Odyssey, the filmmaker’s upcoming historical epic set to release in July 2026. The project marks their first collaboration since Inception, which premiered fifteen years ago.

During the X-Men: Days of Future Past panel at New York Comic Con 2025, Page spoke about the experience of working with Nolan again.

“I was so excited to be thought of for (The Odyssey) and to be asked to come back to work with him,” Page said. “I loved working with him on Inception and loved being a part of that movie. I was just completely jazzed and excited… it was such a joy to come back.”

Page also reflected on how the passage of time has changed his approach to work. “To come back now, as you can imagine, being more comfortable in yourself makes these sorts of projects more enjoyable,” he added. “To get to have a Chris Nolan experience again now meant so much to me selfishly.”

The actor, who recently appeared at The Umbrella Academy’s final season premiere, shared that returning to Nolan’s world felt rewarding both creatively and personally. The Odyssey is among the director’s most anticipated projects, following the success of Oppenheimer in 2023.

The Comic Con panel was moderated by Happy Sad Confused host Josh Horowitz and also featured James McAvoy, who discussed the legacy of the X-Men franchise and fan speculation surrounding its potential reboot.

“Look, I’m (just) excited to see what happens next,” McAvoy said. “I was a fan before I was an employee, and I’ll be a fan again. Colman Domingo sounds amazing.”

For Page, the reunion with Nolan represents a continuation of a professional partnership that began more than a decade ago, one that remains grounded in mutual respect and creative enthusiasm.
