Social media influencer and YouTuber Trisha Paytas is set to make her Broadway debut in Beetlejuice the Musical for a limited engagement this fall.
Paytas will appear as Maxine Dean from November 4 to November 23, 2025, at Broadway’s Palace Theatre, marking her first major theatrical role.
Paytas will take over the part from Sharone Sayegh, who will continue portraying Juno during Paytas’ run before resuming her full dual role on November 25. Maxine Dean, though a smaller role, plays a key part as the wife of Maxie Dean, the wealthy businessman invited to dinner by the Deetz family.
Known for her confessional-style vlogs and unpredictable online persona, Trisha Paytas has long courted controversy. Despite facing backlash for controversial statements, she has built a devoted fanbase of nearly 11 million TikTok followers and 1.9 million Instagram followers.
Beetlejuice the Musical, inspired by Tim Burton’s 1988 cult classic film, began its third Broadway engagement on October 8, 2025, following a successful three-year national tour across 88 cities. The limited Palace Theatre run will continue through January 3, 2026.
The current cast features Justin Collette as Beetlejuice, Isabella Esler as Lydia, and Will Burton as Adam, with direction by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers (Moulin Rouge!) and choreography by Connor Gallagher.
Originally debuting on Broadway in 2019, the production earned eight Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical. Its return marks a new chapter for the fan-favorite show, now blending Broadway nostalgia with modern pop culture through Paytas’ addition.
