Fortnite is getting spooky just in time for Halloween, with Epic Games confirming that Scooby-Doo, Scream, and R.E.P.O. are all coming to the game as part of this year’s Fortnitemares event. The annual event is known for delivering horror-inspired content, and the 2025 edition looks set to be one of the biggest yet.

The reveal was teased across Fortnite’s official channels, with three separate images pointing to the new crossovers. Fans will soon be able to pick up Scooby-Doo inspired skins, finally confirming a collaboration that has been rumoured for months. While it remains unclear exactly which characters from the animated franchise will appear, many are expecting fan favourites like Shaggy and Velma to be included.

Meanwhile, Ghostface from Scream is officially heading to the island. A teaser image shows the masked killer holding up a knife, with Fortnite’s Peely reflected in the blade. The character is expected to arrive as a purchasable skin in the Item Shop, giving horror fans a chilling new look to sport during the event.

The third collaboration brings characters from R.E.P.O., the co-op survival horror game, into Fortnite. A shared teaser showed R.E.P.O. characters fleeing from zombies, hinting at multiple cosmetics coming to the Item Shop.

Fortnitemares officially begins on October 9, following the game’s most recent update that introduced the Kpop Demon Hunters crossover. The Halloween event will run until November 1, covering the remainder of Chapter 6 Season 4. Players can expect new cosmetics, themed challenges, and potential map changes throughout the event.

Fans have already begun speculating about more surprises. Rumours of a Friday the 13th crossover featuring Jason Voorhees have circulated online, though Epic Games has yet to make any official announcement. If true, it could make this year’s Fortnitemares one of the most stacked events in Fortnite history.

With Scooby-Doo, Scream, and R.E.P.O. already confirmed, the lineup has plenty for players to be excited about. Whether you’re in it for nostalgia, horror icons, or new skins, Fortnitemares 2025 is shaping up to be an event that fans won’t want to miss.
